GOLD LINING

The Gold Lining series continues from Come Hell or High Water, working with recovered bags left behind during that crossing near the border wall in El Paso, Texas.

The belongings were safeguarded and relocated to the banks of the Rio Grande, where they are photographed resting on emergency thermal golden blankets. The blankets both shield and elevate the objects within the landscape.

The bags remain unopened. Their contents are never revealed, preserving anonymity and the privacy of those who carried them, while also holding space for the fragile protection of identity and human dignity.
